DA Salavantis "TURN OR BURN" TIME

DA Salavantis. It is time. Either prosecute Gas Gate on behalf of the honest citizens or leave your position. We have approximately 200 signatures on a petition regarding the horrendous handling of GAS GATE. These will be published and/or sent to the right individuals. but I speak for many when I say:

DA Stefanie Salavantis...  Prosecute those who stole gas or RESIGN.

You can resign with honor if you do an honest appraisal. It truly would be the right thing to do... for everybody. You were never ready for this job. Choose a an honorable replacement and leave with dignity. In this way you could hold your head high. Respect would be yours.

Thank you Dan Emplit for a nice piece on this subject:
 http://wbff88.blogspot.com/2013/12/hope-everyone-had-nice-christmas.html?m=1

TOP 10 LIST

1) YOU LIED TO US DURING YOUR CAMPAIGN. How so? Because you ran for an office you had no business running for. Where is the lie? The lies are spread out among all the busy people who rightly assumed you should be qualified if you are going to run. You can't expect a plumber, a janitor, or a grocer to do viable research on their own as to your qualifications.

2) YOU LIED TO US AGAIN    You painted Sally Musto Carroll to be part of the Kids for Cash scam. Your ads cast a very dark picture of her. As if she was the devil.

Now this is fine if what you say is true and your feelings are valid. But then you offer her a job in the solicitor's office? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Aren't we then to assume that your campaign was nothing but a pack of lies?

3) MEETING with LEIGHTON in private room in Kingston    More than one person has seen you with Leighton at a private room at Mike's restaurant in Kingston. This is not appropriate given your supposed criminal probe. This is a slap in the face to honest citizens. This is sneaky, non transparent, and smells to high heaven.

4) You hired Mike Dessoye   As head Detective, this stifled any chance for there to be any County investigation of his miscreant brother (Gerrard Dessoye WB police chief). What were you thinking?

5) BACK LOG     There is a massive back log in the court systems because YOU are supposed to be prosecuting cases and you aren't.

6) FIGURE HEAD     You are paid $160,000 annually and you act essentially as a figure head. This is a colossal waste of taxpayer money.

7) THE COPS play you like a fiddle    Gas Gate, Cars for Cash, bribe cars, kickbacks, a federal investigation... and you have the nerve to tell the paper how much you respect the cops? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? There is a federal grand jury meeting regarding their activities and you find them wonderful?

8)  NO PROSECUTION OF ANY CORRUPT OFFICIAL    None. Go on facebook and it is littered with anti corruption groups. You have let the people down in the biggest way.

9)  THE ONLY OFFICIAL you went after was Walter Griffiths. Of course this was nothing but low hanging fruit. But then again... so is Leighton and Gas gate. But you won't touch him. Make no mistake... the only official that you took on (Griffiths) was one of the most honest, anti corruption officials we had. This was indicative of where you placed your stake in the ground.

10) YOU THUMB your nose at the average citizen    Upset citizens have filed literally hundreds of private criminal complaints. Where do they end up? The trash. Yet you will accept any police report from any corrupt cop... regardless of how ill their motives are... or whether the miscreant Dessoye put them up to it.

HOW TO FILE CHARGES AGAINST AN ACTIVIST: Tell a WB cop anything you want. Make sure it is a misdemeanor or a felony. They will actually guide you through this process. Cops are ready to answer your call right now!!

They are "MD's" at doctoring reports. They won't check for the truth. They will take your word... no matter how mentally ill you are. This will get fast tracked to a trial through a "toss to a cop" Magistrate. What you report need not be true. You can be assured that Salavantis will ignore any letters on the activist's behalf. She has been steamrolled and rendered useless.

The only problem is you may eventually run into a jury who likely will not be corrupt. When you lose prepare to be sued! You owe the other side legal fees and damages for your ruse. And the cops for lack of due diligence and due process and negligence. And corruption.

Santa and the lewd letter sender

Four sources tell me this Christmas Card below was from the crazed woman who got kicked out of Sherman Hills.
This makes about 22 sent to me... all of the same sicko nature (see Nov 3: http://wbtruth.blogspot.com/2013/11/hate-crimes-likely-from-wb-cop.html)
And since I confronted her... it is ME that faces a jury trial for harassment and alleged potty mouth.
This is how it rolls in WB when you bring up corruption!!
A jury actually sounds inviting. Fairer than any "toss to the cop" Magistrate. Oh how I long for a jury of my peers.

The Futility of the "try harder" faith

Do you constantly judge yourself for not having “enough” faith? Is your faith not strong enough? Especially around Christmas?

Well relax. Usually by “strong faith” we mean a faith that has more certainty. Taken to the extreme… a faith with “perfect certainty” is no longer faith. It would be a belief. Just like you believe the chair you are sitting in will hold you. It is a matter of fact. It is a belief.

Genuine faith includes doubt. This puts to rest those nagging spiritual quandaries spinning in our heads such as...
1)   How much doubt can I have before I lose my salvation?
2)   How much faith do I need to spread the Word to others – including my family?
3)   If my child isn’t healed properly – will I lose my faith?
4)   If my faith is stronger (more certain), will I be in a better place with God when I die?

Courage is taking a risk in spite of fears. Faith is making a commitment in spite of doubts. It is not about striving for certainty. In fact, this practice can be dangerous because people give up when the "certainty bar" is raised too high.

Let God do His work in you.

Some good and some bad...

16 years ago two miracles were born. twin boys. I would not meet them until 9 months later (“Gotcha day;” adoption day). I am proud to be the father of two phenomenal boys. Happy Birthday!!

Serious prayer request:

Anthony Gipson (young man assaulted in WB) must go to Philly for a tracheotomy (hole in the throat to breathe). Apparently his throat did not “take” to the breathing tube he had as a result of the medical coma he was in for a week. The bill from Geisinger? $400,000

Anthony’s brother was the victim of a hit and run while Anthony was in the hospital. He suffered a compound fracture of the leg. He needs to have more surgery to replace the rod that was previously inserted.

Pray for this family… even a simple request for “help” will do. The simplest prayer.

Is dead Aunt Edna in heaven?

Softer tone for the holidays...

Have you ever been at a Christian funeral and seriously wondered to yourself “Is the dearly departed in Heaven?”

Come on… we all have. I have had friends die over the past few years and their last few years living were ignominious to say the least. If they were saved… you would not have known it. Some died from the effects of drugs and alcohol. Their lives were anything but holy.

Is there hope for them? The answer is yes. There are portions of the Bible that support this notion. Sometimes when we read passages we must stretch our minds. By this I mean… who said someone had to be “right with the Lord” before death to make it to heaven? Death need not terminate our hope for our destinies.

Consider that scripture says that God has a passionate love for all he has created and wishes none to perish. In 1 Peter chapter 3 we are told that Jesus made a proclamation to the spirits in prison who in former times disobeyed. 1 Peter 4:6 says, “For this is the reason the gospel was offered even to the dead, so that, though they have been judged in the flesh as everyone is judged, they might live in the spirit as God does.”

Some may disagree with this view point… but the scripture is there. So cheer up. Our loved ones and friends may in fact be in a very good place – regardless of how they may have lived. His ways are greater than our ways.

JJ Murphy - A Leopard doesn't change its spots

In the opinion of many, JJ Murphy is serving as an embarrasment to those who serve the country honorably. The word on the street is he is playing his "military card" in order to manipulate a law to his favor. The feeling is that the law was set up to help actual victims - not scammers like Murphy.

Andrew Staub, formerly of Citizen's Voice, wrote the article below about JJ Murphy (Harrisburg paper).  Murphy is the former City Administrator for Wilkes-Barre.

I communicated with JJ Murphy in 2011. He told me there was nothing illegal with the city contracted tower LAG Towing. Since that time LAG lost its contract and is under a federal and county investigation. Murphy lied to me as part of the Leighton/Dessoye/Glodzik corruption chain.

Of note:
1) See how his brother (Congressman Patrick Murphy) tried to peddle influence
2) See how Radnor Township felt he was embellishing his performance in W-B (Ya think?)

Fighting corruption is a Christian duty

Never, Ever forget... Fighting corruption is a Christian duty!!

Ephesians 6:12

New Living Translation (NLT)
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

I dare you not to tap your toes to this one (and laugh)!!  The anti-corruption jingle for all to enjoy! Can you believe I was kicked out of a WB Council Meeting for playing this? No sense of humor. Leighton and Barrett weren't able to laugh at themselves!!

SPOTLIGHT: Head of County Detectives Mike Dessoye

WHY DIDN'T ANYONE SAY ANYTHING? This was the chronic refrain spoken after the "Kids for Cash" scandal was revealed. It is mind blowing to consider all those who could have stepped forward but didn't.

WHY DOESN'T ANYONE SAY ANYTHING NOW?  Yes... now! This question needs to be asked in the present! Rampant corruption exists within our county and people's lips are sealed. Some of the issues are cited below. It is real and must be revealed. Do your part. Expose! Expose! Expose!

What ensues is a mock interview with the Luzerne County Detective Mike Dessoye. I bring up issues I would love answers on but know I will never get. Since this is not a real interview, I have the character of Mike Dessoye provide answers that may be far more candid than he may ever give. Hope you enjoy!!

ME: Have you heard of the documentary that is in theatres regarding "Kids for Cash?
Mike Dessoye: Yes I have.
ME: As Chief of Detectives, you above almost anyone, would be privy to rumors of corruption, correct?
Mike Dessoye: That would be correct.

ME: So you, like many others, knew about "Kids for Cash" and said nothing, right?
Mike Dessoye: That would be correct.
ME:  Why?
Mike Dessoye: Because my loyalties lie to the powers that be. Kids don't pay my $110,000 salary... a corrupt courthouse infrastructure does.

ME: Wow. Well at least you are being honest.
Mike Dessoye: Thank you
ME: So it is safe to assume you knew about the LAG auto theft/ kickback / bribe ring.
Mike Dessoye: That would be correct.

ME: Why didn't you step in?
Mike Dessoye: Because my brother, Gerard, is the police chief. I am not going to rat out my brother.
ME: True... but it wouldn't have to go that far. You could have put pressure in the right places without "ratting out" your brother, right?
Mike Dessoye: I suppose so. But again, like the children of "Kids for Cash," LAG victims don't pay my salary. The corrupt infrastructure that holds everything together does.

ME: So you also had to have information on...
- Gas Gate
- the bribe cars Leo Glodzik (LAG Towing) lent out
- the heroin house that was protected by your brother
- the drug and/or sexual affair that your brother Gerard had with the "heroin honey"
- The young mom that died from drugs obtained from this house
- The universal and unchallenged knowledge that both Leighton and your brother have serious substance abuse issues.
Mike Dessoye: Yep. Know all about it. All too well.

ME:  Do you think there is a conflict of interest between being the overseer of the police while your brother is Chief?
Mike Dessoye: In a polyanish world yes. But I don't live in that world... or one that is even remotely fair. Blame it on Salavantis. She hired me and knew many of these issues herself. In fact, she even communicated with you that she read what you had reported about LAG. Isn't that true?
ME: Yes. She had knowledge of it. She sent me an e mail saying she found it "interesting."
Mike Dessoye: I suppose you could call me an opportunity seeker... or perhaps an opportunity taker. Salavantis has been a pushover... and I have taken full advantage of this. Frankly, our system of justice is a mess... but I will soon retire.

ME: Even with all this... don't you think it would have been appropriate for you to "recuse" yourself from all city police issues and assign an objective and unbiased task force?
Mike Dessoye: Of course. But if nobody holds me accountable - why bother? I thrive on the power.

ME: Does it ever weigh on your conscience that you could have attempeted to stop so much corruption - even "Kids for Cash" - but did nothing?
Mike Dessoye: All I can tell you is that when you are untouchable for so long as I have been it goes to your head. You begin to think you are a God... but not a benign one. Others' issues really don't matter. What I care about is the near $1/4 million that my brother and I take in annually. If you want an maudlin answer you are not going to get it. The bottom line is corruption has treated me very well.

Taxpayer's response to JJ Murphy law suit

On behalf of the Wilkes-Barre Taxpayer Association, we submit the following to Radnor Township who is being sued by JJ Murphy.

Dear Radnor Township:

Many of the following issues and scandals in Wilkes-Barre began during the time JJ Murphy was City Manager. We support your decision to NOT hire Murphy and regard this law suit beyond frivolous to the point of being ridiculous. Unfortunately Wilkes-Barre has officials who include themselves as part of the "corrupt elite" and are shocked when life actually treats them fairly. Entitlement doesn't begin to describe it. Please contact us through this blog if we can assist you.

In fact, seven of us have agreed to testify for Radnor Township because we don't feel the "race card" or the "military card" should be used to exploit jobs where the candidates show low moral character. You have contact numbers through e mail and voice mail. WE WILL HELP IF ASKED.

Warning to Leighton: If you think you are going to "whore" the city out of money through "pays to plays" and other schemes - and then take off... think again. Through the internet, we will be on you like "white on rice." There will be nowhere to hide.

Wake up Wilkes Barre

Top 10 Reasons J.J. didn’t get hired

For those of you who don’t know, our former city administrator, ($300 per hr. do NOTHING consultant) J.J. murphy, is suing a suburban Philadelphia township, for NOT hiring him.

WOW: Imagine suing everyone who didn't hire you! We at Wake Up Wilkes Barre wondered why, Radnor Township passed on poor J.J., and this is what we found.

Top 10 reasons J.J. didn't get the job!

  • 10. The board members couldn't be bought.
  • 9. They saw past King Lie-A-Ton’s embellished recommendation letter.
  • 8. They spoke to any lifelong resident of Wilkes Barre as a character reference for J.J.
  • 7. They could smell a weasel a mile away
  • 5. They couldn't afford $300 per hr. for a do nothing consultant.
  • 4. Then-U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy (D., Pa.), called one board member before John Murphy's interview, they asked, he told!
  • 3. They read Wake Up Wilkes Barre.
  • 2. Hawkeye (enough said)!!!
  • And the # 1. Reason:  They found out the truth about you J.J.

In its response, Radnor Township denies any violations of federal law occurred. The township says Murphy was in the “second tier” of candidates and not deemed qualified for a second interview.

  • IMAGINE, J.J. “not deemed qualified”, we’ve know that for years.

The township alleges that board members felt Murphy might have embellished his record in Wilkes-Barre. It also argues that when Murphy's brother, then-U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy (D., Pa.), called one board member before John Murphy's interview, it left some members with a negative impression.

  • J.J.” embellished his record in Wilkes-Barre”, so, I wonder if he told them Hawkeye actually worked?
Newsflash for you J.J. your a lying weasel who sucks the taxpayers dry, and honest folks can smell that bull a mile away.

WHO AM I? The Bottom of WB's "finest"

WHO AM I?

I have a few self gratuitous programs in place as described by many citizens...

"Ticket or Lick it"  When I ticket a pretty young Lassie, I have been known to ticket her or to offer (you know...).

"Sugar Shake down"    When I find a fine, sweet, boot-a-licious lady of the evening... I like to remain flexible with my "handling" of the case.

I try and stay away from those who have entertained G Dessoye

I once threatened to cuff a lady and drag her across the floor of the old folks home where she was living (over a scam she fell for which cost a credit union some money).

I have also been seen with the manager of said credit union on many occasions.

I was outside LAG Towing one day as Meyers High School was getting out. To say I leered at the girls is an understatement. My eyes hung on them for such a time that my sockets might has well be placed on coat hangers. I embarrassed those around me.

I am a member of the LAG Bribe-A-Car club. I was fitted with a Mercedes Benz that I would arrogantly park in front of the police station. Can't touch me!

GUESS WHO!

Is Law Enforcement against the "WAR ON DRUGS"?

Some are seeing the light.

Letter below from Jennifer Loftus in regards to my drug plan (My plan is to attack the demand and not the supply!!!!)

Why aren't we drug testing the men who are...
1) responsible for the safety of WB (police chief)?
2) responsible for the management of WB  (Mayor)?
3) responsible for adjudication of justice (Judges, Magistrates, DA office, County Detectives)?

Employees at the "Dollar store" or a "Turkey Hill" store are monitored more closely!!

Note: Despite the incalculable damage done to our city... G Dessoye and Leighton would be treated compassionately under a plan like mine.

STOP THE INSANITY OF "THE WAR ON DRUGS."
WE HAVE LOST!!!

from Jennifer Loftus...
You're talking dangerous stuff, here, aren't you? Sounds sensible enough to me, though. I really thought when I read this, it was going to annoy me because you began talking about drug testing. It's a sensitive issue, as far as I'm concerned, because it involves unreasonable search and seizure.

Having said that, when you followed up with the radical suggestion that the disease then be treated, I was more interested. THEN, you took the next logical step and discussed maintenance, which is something most people can't wrap their heads around. You are right on that point as well.

There are a few countries who have taken this tack with heroin users and have had reductions in crime that were unbelievable. Need I remind anyone reading this that there is NO needle exchange in PA, and therefore we have extremely high rates of Hepatitis C? Sure, the idea of Hep C might stop some folks from using a used, filthy needle.

But it obviously doesn't deter enough of them, and anyone that has been through addiction can tell you why. So, overall, if there is no criminal element involved and the treatment is available, that sounds reasonable to me. I'm still not happy with all the testing, but I understand what you're going for. Personally, I have been a fan of testing in some circumstances, particularly airplane pilots and people doing stuff like that.

Do I really care if the man who prepares my salad has smoked a joint before he did that salad? Not at all. Do I care if my doctor is performing surgery on me while under the influence of anything even mildly intoxicating? Absolutely I do. Do I care if the person at the grocery store has taken something before or during work? Depends. You get the idea. Obviously there are instances that are more dire than others.

But it's amazing that you'd be willing to state such radical things in public. I kind of get the idea that you are used to that by now, though. Decriminalization and treatment will be the keys to "winning the war on drugs", but as we have seen so far, the lucrative business of locking people up sometimes gets in the way, of many things.
