CIPRIANI HAS BATTLED AND DEFEATED CORRUPTION

EAST SIDE / WEST SIDE
SUMMERS and CIPRIANI

Both Betsy Summers and Eileen Cipriani have been public servants in ways few people know.

Eileen Cipriani has worked for no salary and has written grants without charging her hometown on the west side.

Cipriani has displayed unusual courage as a public servant. No one knows better than me the steep uphill battle that awaits one who accuses police and/or public officials and/or public contractors with corruption.

First they ignore you... then they call you nuts... then they lie... then they intimidate you... then they attack you or assign bogus charges... then you win (if you made it this far).

Like me, Eileen Cipriani has survived such a gauntlet. When two police officers in West Wyoming were stealing... Cipriani took on the challenge of fighting corruption.

And she won. I had not known this about her... and now I am glad I did. We need more Eileen Ciprianis... and Betsy Summers... and other brave warriors  who aren't afraid to take on corruption.

Breaking News: TIMES LEADER ENDORSES BETSY SUMMERS

Our Opinion: Send Libertarian candidate Betsy Summers to Harrisburg to shake up establishment.    See link HERE.

THE REAL STORY ON SCHOOLS AND UNIONS

SCHOOLS     I, like most of Betsy Summer's supporters, love school teachers. I have taught 10th grade and at Lehigh University. As a teacher I know how difficult it is. No other profession puts you in an environment with thousands of noisy children. It is demanding.

HERE IS THE PROBLEM WITH PASHINSKI: Since he has taken over $17,000 in cash from the STATE teacher's union - he must follow their state directives.

A quick digression... the following spoof may be funny... but it is not a joke. Pashinski has to know what has been going on and has he stood for justice? Please answer for yourself.

OK... back to the school issue:
These STATE directives that Pashinski must swallow do not speak for what is best for LOCAL TEACHERS.

I mean this sincerely... only a really dumb person would not see the value of Bill 76:

1) All homeowners in WB, WB TWP, and Hanover would get thousands in cash.
2) The teachers would be better protected because the state would provide for salaries/pensions.
3) The collapsing W-B market cannot sustain what's needed. It is like building a house on quicksand.

PASHINSKI CANNOT SERVE YOU HERE BECAUSE HE HAS BEEN BOUGHT AND PAID FOR. It's that simple.

UNIONS    There are few people around that have a bigger heart for the "relatively" low-wage earners than Betsy Summers and I. Betsy has donated her time cleaning up alleys. Related to the LAG Towing scandal, I have bought 6 "new" used cars for people who have had their cars stolen by LAG. I have also saved some houses that were ready for a sheriff sale.

Betsy and I have a heart for the working poor / middle class etc... Our actions speak louder than words.

HERE IS THE PROBLEM WITH PASHINSKI: Since he has taken so much from STATE unions... he is not in a position to help the specific needs of the local unions. Bill 76 is an example. This bill would help any business related to housing because this bill effectively lowers the cost of all homes which spurs the market.

Carpet dealers. Appliance sellers. Roofers. Heating and AC. Painters. Insurance sellers. Furniture sellers etc...

KAUFER VS CIPRIANI DEBATE

I attended the Aaron Kaufer vs Eileen Cipriani Debate for the 120th district. Here are some observations:

Bill 76 to eliminate school taxes: Both candidates are for Bill 76 citing it would be a huge benefit for middle and lower income homeowners. This appears to be the general consensus with most local candidates (except Pashinski). Eileen Cipriani made the sage comment that with taxes as they are now... one never really owns their home.

It would also help renters in that, with the cost of owning a home reduced, it would put less pressure on homeowners to raise rents and would actually lower the "rent floor" for the poor who may be living w/relatives or in shelters etc..
2nd amendment:  Both support
School vouchers: Both are against
Gay rights:  Both are staunchly "pro gay rights"
Extraction taxes: Both support
Abortion:  Kaufer is "pro-life" with certain exceptions. Cipriani is "pro choice." Cipriani attempted to convince the audience that she leaves it up to the individual which somehow softens her stance. But that, in my opinion, is essentially the stance of pro-choice.

Term limits: Kaufer for... and Cipriani against. Kaufer argued that with term limuts, candidates wouldn't be continually using time and resources to get re-relected. This makes sense to me. Cipriani argued that a good representative should not be forced out which makes sense as well. In my opinion I believe Kaufer has the stronger argument here. Kaufer also talked about the number of "staffers" that Pa has... far exceeding other states. He considers this largely wasted money. I believe he has a point.

Ms. Cipriani spoke about cities and boroughs sharing resources. This struck a chord with me as I cannot understand why there isn't a "West side police" station instead of each tiny town having its own force. It would seem sensible to me to unify all the police forces together. Salaries could be frozen and retirements could help reduce rhe force to the right number (if needed). No one would be hurt in the process.

Both candidates are cynical of tax credits to corprations. Kaufer brought up the point that many businesses have taken advantage of the KOZ system ended up leaving. I believe his is on solid footing here because tax credits don't increase demand for a company's product. What happens is the tax credit turns out to be nothing more than a gift which they will gladly accept.

Kaufer spoke about how we need to leave the "coal mining and seamstress days" behind us. But I think we have. We now attract warehousing and call center jobs which one can't raise a family on. Cipriani talked about linking our schools with trades that are in demand. It seems like steering the "blue collar" into plumbing, electrician work, and auto mechanics is a big step up from where many are working now.

Kaufer mentioned how corruption has taken its toll state-wide. And of course we know how it has locally. We need a fair playing field. The perception from the outside must be that the area is corruption free, We aren't anywhere close. We will be feeling the effects of corruption, cronyism, and nepotism for years. It didn't happen over-night.

I am impressed by the personal pledges and sacrifices that Kaufer has made if he is our representative. I feel that his heart is in the right place and I there is a "ring of truth" about what he speaks. He has command of the issues and I believe his youth will serve him. He is untainted.

At the same time I was impressed by Cipriani. She seems like a person who will authentically listen to the constituents.

I left the debate feeling we are in good hands either way. A feeling I have never felt once in regards to my anti-corruption work in Wilkes-Barre.       Thank You and God bless.

LINE-UP of the WILKES-BARRE MOB

PASHINSKI IS TRAPPED BY THE CORRUPTION HE KNOWS AND THE STATE UNION MONEY AND STATE ATTORNEYS' MONEY  HE'S ACCEPTED.

SUMMERS HAS NOT BEEN A PARTY TO ANY CORRUPTION AND HAS ACCEPTED NO MONEY.

WHO IS IN A BETTER POSITION TO SERVE YOU?

HOW HAS PASHINSKI PROTECTED YOU FROM THESE ABUSES?

… the horrific “Cars for Cash” (Lag Towing scandal) scandal
… The corrupt Dessoye not maintaining LAG records despite it being required in the city contract
… Loaner vehicles or “bribe vehicles” were illegally being used by cops (from LAG). Dessoye did nothing. Where was "Puppet" Pashinski? Silent as always.
… An old heroin-addicted girlfriend of Dessoye’s ran a drug house with immunity. I have the police reports filed. Where was thePashinski? Nowhere to be found.
… The two cops indicted in the Credit Union case were active cops under Dessoye. Did Pashinski even make a statement? No... he was invisible as always.
… It is widely known that Dessoye cannot and could not be counted on after a certain time of night allegedly due to drinking. Kane and Leighton have same issue. Where's Pashinski? In denial and worse - enabling others.
… his police station was raided by the FBI (see below). What does this tell you?
… the murder rate in 2013 put Wilkes-Barre on par with Newark or Camden. Pashinski lays no responsibility at the feet of s drunk mayor and drunk police chief. It is all HUD's fault. Yea... OK Eddie.

In addition, according to the WBTPA, there are seven ongoing federal investigations against the city and/or police. These all occurred on Pashinski's watch.

ARE YOU BETTER OFF NOW THAN WHEN PASHINSKI TOOK OFFICE 8 YEARS AGO? WHY WASTE A VOTE ON THIS GUY WHEN YOU ARE ASSURED OF GETTING NOTHING?

7 Federal Investigations

(1)            Federal raid two years ago on WB police (LAG?)

(2)            Federal raid on Credit union (commenced)

(3)            Federal jurisdiction over Gas Gate

(4)            Federal Investigation into Parking Authority

(5)            Federal Raid on Sherman Hil

         (6)      Federal raid on LAG business in Duryea (August 2014)

(7)  Federal Grand Jury set up for City Vest

and ... Conviction of Leo Glodzik of LAG Towing in FBI

HIS BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT? A "COAL MINING" STAMP. HOW HAS THAT IMPACTED YOUR LIFE?

Members of the W-B Mob

One simple question: How has Eddie Day Pashinski protected you from all of the below?... and isn't it time the impeccably honest Betsy Summers gets a chance (who owes nothing to anybody).

THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN EDDIE"THE PUPPET" PASHINSKI TAKES THE MONEY

190,000 views. Thank you for making this a trusted spot to glean the truth and to expose corruption.
WHY EDDIE DAY PASHINSKI CANNOT REPRESENT YOU!
(NOTE: Story on W-B melee off of Public Square... scroll down)

Eddie the puppet Pashinski has taken sate union money
He must abide by their directives...
even though these directives cause grave harm to our local teachers and schools
Put more bluntly: He is stuck

Teachers... It is simple

A) Do you want your salaries and pensions dependent upon Wilkes-Barre's collapsing housing market (property taxes)?

B) Or do you want your salaries and pensions dependent upon the far more stable income tax and sales tax of the entire state?

Is Pashinski a puppet or not? You decide:

VIDEO OF WB DOWNTOWN MELEE: Womens' shirt torn off... bottles broken... women fihghting men

189,000 views. Thank you. You make a difference by being part of the conversation.

SEE VIDEO  Here   (VIDEO REMOVED)

HERE IS A PICTURE:  A Guy beating up two girls in the middle of South Main Street yards from Public Square

Legacy of Leighton, Dessoye, and "do nothing" Pashinski

This is our "college town."

Let me explain a widely known principle in AA / Recovery:

One's emotional growth stops at the time the disease of addiction kicks in. This is beacause an impaired person never learns to handle life on life's terms. They simply drink/use their problems away.

This (imo) is why Leighton is fixated on the college town theme. His drinking probably dates back to his college days if not earlier. But what Leighton really means is a college drinking town... which is what we have and why downtown W-B will never be family friendly.

If Pashinski really wanted to make a difference he would demand and/or intervene and/or make very public his insistence that Leighton get treatment for his disease since Leighton is destroying his district. And Cartwight should join him rather than doing videos with him (did this video make it in?)

But Pashinski is too weak a leader for this. Plus... he takes his orders from the state unions based on all the money they give him.

Life is funny... Leighton (and Dessoye) probably hate me more than anyone on the planet... and at the same time I seem to be the only one bold enough to tell the truth... and maybe the only one to potentially save their lives. Alcoholism is the only disease that tells you you don't have it. The layers of Leighton "yes men" have formed a formidable wall of denial. Shame on all the people who contribute to his disease. Sycophants and suck-holes.

So folks... if you keep voting like you've been voting you'll keep getting what you've been getting. Betsy Summers is not afraid of the truth.

She has not been bought off.

ENCORE OF "COPS FOR CASH"

Folks... this is reality... not a hypothetical

"COPS FOR CASH"   HOW WB OFFICIALS COMPROMISE POLICE SAFETY

The following represents my opinion and that of many others. "COPS FOR CASH" is not just a catchy phrase... it literally describes what has been going on at Sherman Hills. I kid you not.

The question here is simple: In return for virtually no inspections at Sherman Hills, has Mayor Thomas Leighton received cash from a slumlord which has severely comprised the safety of all police officers?  This would include the one police officer who was shot at Sherman Hills and the rest of the officers who jeopardize their lives when they are called there.

If you listen to Pashinski and Leighton... you may come to the conclusion that the lives of Wilkes-Barre police don't matter.

Consider the following hypotheticals:
A) A police officer loses his life while trying to pull a child from a burning car. This would be honorable and heroic.

B) A police officer is killed while getting in the way of drug dealers at Sherman Hills. One dealer is from Newark, NJ. The other one is from the Bronx. This has a different taste to it. This is tragic and preventable. How would a mom explain to the kids?

"Hey kids. I want to explain to you that Daddy went to be with the Lord.
Why Mommy?
Because daddy was sent to a dangerous place and was killed by a very bad man... a drug dealer.
Why was the bad man there, mommy?
Because your mayor decided money was more important than your daddy's life. It is called a kickback. I know you don't know what that is... but in this town you will learn soon enough."

None of Pashinski’s Sherman Hills (in Times Leader) explanations hold water:
1) It's HUD's fault   Where were you (and Leighton) ten years ago? When does it become YOUR FAULT?
2) We have new owners at Sherman Hills   It took 10 years to act? Plus, the violence has not stopped.
3) We took down Sherman Hills "recruitment posters" in NYC?  You are kidding, right? It's all about the posters? They too have been known about for years.

Pashinski did not mention:
A) Leighton has been completely negligent in inspecting properties. Pashinski covers up for Leighton here. No mention of culpability.
5) Why no mention on the Federal raid on Sherman Hills? Any comments on that? People act like it never happened. Obviously there was something not right. What was it?

The fact that the Sherman Hills debacle is being pushed off until December should give police officers a sense of how these officials truly feel about you. What if an officer is shot and killed in November? How long are they going to dawdle with this? One officer was already shot in the foot. That’s about four feet away from the heart.

I cannot fathom how incensed officers must feel. I can't imagine responding to a call at Sherman Hills knowing you are likely dealing with a perpetrator with a loaded gun and high on any number of drugs including alcohol. I would be furious every time I was called up there. Why are you forced to risk your life to these dregs? ... who shouldn't be there!

Pashinski and Leighton...  would not your first order of business be to take on the darket and deepest problem of the city first? It is now year eleven.

Here is what Sherman Hills stands to save through the largely "no city inspection" scam.
1) INSPECTION FEES
2) REPAIR COSTS
3) CODE VIOLATION PENALTIES
4) EVICTION COSTS
5) EMPTY UNIT COSTS

How much money do you think Sherman Hills has saved by the spotty (virtually no) inspections. Easily in the $Hundreds of thousands. If $300 per year was sunk into each of the 344 units (for ANY/ALL of the expenses above) the amount would be approximately one million dollars over 11 years.

We know for sure that the previous owner was dirty because he advertised Sherman Hills to NYC junkies. And we know that Leighton is both impaired and pathetically corrupt. It is a match made in heaven (or hell).

- Would not this slumlord be willing to slip Leighton $100,000 so he could save $900,000?
- Or perhaps $200,000 for $800,000?

It would be the easiest money Leighton ever made. All he has to do is… absolutely nothing! If Leighton was not getting paid off by the owners... what incentive could he possibly have for giving these slumlords a decade-long break? The only plausible explanation is the Leighton was receiving kickbacks similar to what he was getting from LAG Towing. There simply is no other plausible explanation.

So who ultimately pays for this? The Wilkes-Barre police do. They are the ones risking their lives. And innocent victims caught in the cross fire.

“Vermin Hills” is an old issue (Times Leader May 2013; Jerry Lynott) - Frank Sorick questioned council about the lack of rental inspections at the Sherman Hills apartment complex. A city ordinance requires a rental property to be inspected each time there is a new rental agreement entered into with a tenant. This does not preclude other inspections for being made due to repairs, audits of who is staying in a unit, other legal issues that may arise, or the discretion of the Mayor.

An inspection completed Thursday found two violations that Drew McLaughlin, municipal affairs manager for the city, described as minor
(two minor violations among 344 units with the last inspection being 3 years prior… is anyone believing this?). Prior to that the complex was inspected in 2010, he said (three years prior... the fact that McLaughlin said the entire complex was inspected lays credence to the fact that the whole complex can be inspected every year).

The mayor said the city’s inspectors are very busy and the department is understaffed (Too busy to make sure the police are safe when they go there? You are passing up all the inspection fees on 344 units?  Lies… lies… lies… what an alcoholic does whenever he opens his mouth).

But council chairman Bill Barrett responded that Sherman Hills is a problem property and should be inspected more often. The complex, privately owned by Park Management Inc. of Brooklyn, N.Y., has been the scene of numerous shootings and violent crimes. “It gives us an opportunity to keep a finger on what’s going on there,” Barrett said. (One of the few times I agree with Bill Barrett)

As unbelievable as it may sound... COPS FOR CASH is an apt description.

HIGHWAY TO NJ / NYC RENAMED FOR LEIGHTON

186,000 VIEWS   THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING
ME TO SHED LIGHT FOR THE COMMON GOOD

(a spoof) Mayor Thomas Leighton has improved local commerce. In his efforts to improve diversity, he has made Wilkes-Barre inviting to young entrepreneurs. His purposeful negligence of Sherman Hills has opened the doors to inter-state trade.

Six people charged with trafficking heroin from New Jersey to Luzerne County.  See Times leader article HERE

A metal stair case collapsing... not a problem
Gunfire and 13 W-B murders last year... not a problem.
Enough crime to support its own police force... not a problem

Not one to miss out on a business opportunity... he has opened a baggie shop on Blackman Street.
Not to miss out expanding the local economy... Leighton and cronies are investing in a methadone clinic. Father Ryan will sprinkle with holy water.

Like LAG... it is a circular business model that cannot fail. It isn't called corruption. It is called "networking." He has made sure that the tenants and the owners of Sherman Hills have been taken care of.
So successful are his efforts... that Pashinski has given his blessings and Matt Cartwright has produced a cheezy  video.  Now that's progress!
